In May we decided to sell our home, by mid June it was sold and the closing was planned for August, well we thought so. The process was quite smooth, our real estate agent Laura was fantastic (if you need a good one let me know), but time around closing wasn't such a smooth one due to the other party's misadventures which I cannot disclose here. We did end up closing but close to 2 weeks later than we were supposed to. We moved east of the city to Whitby and must admit we (my wife, my kids and I) are enjoying the slower pace a smaller city tends to have. Yes, we do have a commute to my office in the morning, but luckily we start at the ungodly hour
My daughter has started junior kindegarten which she is thoroughly enjoying it, miraculously with not a drop of tears. My son on the other hand is seriously jealous that she gets to go on the big yellow school bus, takes her lunch to school in a Hanna Montana lunchbox and wears brand new Dora running shoes. The tears fell and the arms/legs flailed on the boulevard from my son's two year old body as she drove away on the bus the first day. As we say around our house, he was not happy, not happy at all!
On the dental front, we have had a wonderful summer at the office and looking forward to autumn. Many of our patients have now be treated with our soft tissue diode laser to assist with healing of their gingivits and periodontal disease with amazing successes. We have also been able to help those with cold, canker and denture sores relieve their pain and encourage the healing very quickly.
This autumn is a very exciting one, we will be attending various courses in the Toronto area to expand our knowledge so we may offer expanded services to our patients. Our goal is to offer only the most up to date, research/scientific based dental services to our patients and we can only do this through continuing education. I will keep you posted!
Until then, be well and enjoy the autumn (and if I must say the best season!)
Nathan
